This video shows a very clever way way to make a quilt with straight sewing, but results look much more difficult. Great for scraps, stash fabrics, and even precuts. She also shows some great techniques for keeping things precise while sewing.

Here is a gallery of Keyhole quilt tops our members made during our Zoom event on June 21st. What fun it was to see the fabrics and variation used by our members! I don't really like traditional ironing boards for quilting, but prefer a big flat surface. I like that this project can be easily moved around, and even folded up to store. I have a wood TV tray table that is not being used, so this one looks interesting to me. What do you think? --Ann From January to June 2025, our members have been getting monthly "clues" to make this quilt. Only catch is that they have no idea what their quilt looks like! This video from Krista Moser clearly shows the technique to do this to have a squared up quilt without loosing any points on your quilt top. For the month of May, our free block pattern was a Sawtooth Star block that was done in the colors of red, white, and blue. As an option, our members could make one block and mail it in for the drawing. We will hold the drawing at our Monday, June 9th Zoom meeting at 2:00 (pacific time). Here are the blocks our members submitted: |
