With October right around the corner, I thought this was a fun project to decorate your home or to make as a quick gift. One side is "Stitch and Flip" and the other is applique. Both are easy techniques and the video is clear enough even for someone who hasn't tried them before.

This is a traditional block that is easy and beginner friendly, but also has many variations that make it fun for advanced quilters too. Usually this is a 2 color quilt, but you can have fun by using a different 2 fabrics in each block you make. That makes it scrap friendly and Jelly Roll friendly. If you would like layout ideas, it is always useful to Google Bento Box Quilt, or search on Pinterest. You will need two different fabrics for this block. Look for a good light/dark contrast.
